Lewis Dabney is Executive Director of the Key Bridge Foundation, a nonprofit Alternative Dispute Resolution organization that has provided conflict resolution, program management, training, and technical assistance to the federal sector and clients worldwide since 1994.
A conflict resolution practitioner since 1996, Lewis brings nearly three decades of experience in mediation, ADR program design and management, training, and conflict analysis. He holds degrees in Anthropology and Religious Studies from the University of Virginia and an M.S. in Conflict Resolution from George Mason University’s Carter School, where his studies focused on ethnic and religious conflict.
Lewis is a nationally recognized leader in mediation involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Together with his colleagues at Key Bridge, he has managed the U.S. Department of Justice’s national ADA Mediation Program under contract for more than 25 years. Key Bridge also maintains one of the nation’s most experienced rosters of professional mediators.
An active leader in the Association for Conflict Resolution, Lewis has served as Secretary of the Board, Chair of the International Section, and in numerous committee leadership roles. He has also lectured on conflict resolution practice at universities across North and South America, South and Southeast Asia, and Europe.
His areas of expertise include ADA mediation, ADR program management and training, dispute resolution system design, monitoring and evaluation, ethnic and religious conflict, rule of law, mentoring, and leadership coaching.
